Woman killed after a two-vehicle collision on Katy Freeway feeder (Harris County, TX)

On Sunday, a woman lost her life while four others suffered injuries following a traffic collision on the Katy Freeway feeder.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on Katy Freeway feeder at Mason Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Dodge Charger crashed into each other at the intersection. After the initial crash, the Dodge Ram hit a signal light pole, causing the bed and rear axle to detach and the main cab to flip over.

There were four people inside the Dodge Ram at that time. A woman, who was a passenger, was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The three other occupants of the pickup, including the driver, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries but are expected to survive.

The driver of the Dodge Challenger was also taken to a hospital but is also expected to survive. At this time, it is unknown if impairment was involved in the accident. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
