Woman killed after a pickup truck crash in NW Houston (Houston, TX)

On Thursday, a woman lost her life following a traffic accident in northwest Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place on outbound 249 near Greens Road at about 10:55 p.m. The early reports revealed that the woman was driving a pickup truck when she failed to maintain control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle then went off the roadway and smashed into a small barrier.

The truck also struck a sign and the vehicle ended up in the trees. It seemed that the woman was ejected from the truck. She was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
