On Thursday morning, a woman suffered critical injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Detroit while officers arrested another woman who initially fled the scene after the accident.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place before 6 a.m. on 7 Mile. The early reports showed that the woman was heading west on 7 Mile in a Jeep when her vehicle went over the centerline and crashed into a Nissan.

The driver of the Nissan, a woman in her 20s, suffered critical injuries as a result of the collision. The woman in the Jeep, who is in her 30s, ran away from the scene, but was later arrested nearby. No additional information has been provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
