Woman dead after a car vs. big rig collision in Diamond Bar (Diamond Bar, CA)

On early Sunday morning, a woman was killed after her sedan crashed into a big rig in Diamond Bar.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place just after 6 a.m. on the eastbound side of the 60 freeway, at the Grand Avenue off-ramp. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at 6:06 a.m. but no one was taken to the hospital. Authorities confirmed that a woman was killed as a result of the accident.

A Sig alert was announced at 6:27 a.m., blocking all eastbound lanes of the 60 freeway except the carpool lane, as well as the connector road from the eastbound 60 Freeway to the southbound 57 Freeway. Officials cancelled the Sig alert at 12:24 p.m. No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
