On early Thursday, a man suffered injuries after being hit by a train in Marana.
As per the initial information, the pedestrian crash took place on Cortaro Road at about 7 AM. The early reports showed that a train struck one person. The victim sustained serious trauma as a result of the collision.
On arrival, emergency responders took the man to a local hospital for treatment. Cortaro Road was shut down at the crossing for a little more than two hours to give way to the investigation. The road was back open just after 9:30 a.m. No other information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
