More than 350 customers were left without power after a crash knocked down a utility pole Monday in in Lemon Grove.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Madera Street. It is unknown if the incident caused any injuries. According to the officials, the power would be restored within an hour, but SDG&E’s outage map showed that 358 customers were still experiencing outages.
Power now is estimated to be restored by 9:30 p.m., according to the outage map. As of 5 p.m., Massachusetts Avenue between Mount Vernon Street and Madera Street remains blocked. It is not yet confirmed when that portion of road will reopen. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
