One person in critical condition after being hit by an SUV in central Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

One person was left in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night in the central valley.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area at Washington Avenue and J Street after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian crash at about 6 p.m. on Jan. 13. The early reports showed that an SUV struck a pedestrian for undetermined reasons.

The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Washington was shut down in both directions during the investigation. Officials asked motorists to avoid the area. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
