The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in St.Tammany Parish overnight.
The collision involved 16 vehicles.
The accident happened close to LA 1090 On interstate 10 at around 1 AM on Sunday.
John Crow,36 was operating an Acadian ambulance while traveling westbound on the motorway and following a box truck.
The ambulance collided with the truck’s bed and Crow passed away at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Crow was restrained by a seatbelt.
Two ambulance passengers were treated for minor injuries and transported to a hospital.
The box truck’s driver was unharmed.
Investigations into this fatal crash are underway.
