One person was killed following a traffic collision Monday night in West Bakersfield.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at about 6:44 p.m. on Rosedale Highway and Renfro Road. The early reports showed that a white Ford pickup truck and black BMW 3 Series were involved in the crash.
Officials confirmed that one person died as a result of the wreck. The eastbound lanes of Rosedale Highway were blocked for about two hours while crews worked at the scene. At around 8:40 p.m., the roads reopened to traffic. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
