One person died after getting hit by a vehicle early Monday morning in San Diego.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision was reported at 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound SR-94, west of Interstate 805. The driver of a gray Volkswagen sedan informed the CHP that they struck a person. The pedestrian was found in the far right lane and declared dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. The CHP announced a Sig Alert, closing down all lanes of the eastbound SR-94 in the area during the investigation. Authorities have not released any further details regarding the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
