Officials identified 39-year-old Ryan Foster who died after a crash in Beaumont (Beaumont, TX)

Authorities identified 39-year-old Ryan Foster, of Beaumont, as the man who lost his life following a crash Tuesday night on E. Cardinal Drive.

On Jan. 11 at 10:26 p.m., Beaumont Police actively responded to the 300 block of E. Cardinal Drive after getting reports of a traffic collision. The preliminary reports showed that a Ford F-150 pickup truck was heading South on E. Cardinal and made an unsafe lane change, causing the driver to hit another vehicle.

The impact caused the F-150 to lose control, veer off the roadway and into the grassy median and service road. Foster was thrown from the F-150 during the crash. He suffered major injuries. Beaumont EMS arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was later declared dead. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
