Officials identified 34-year-old Zwannica McBride and 5-year-old Ja’Siyah McBride who died in a crash (Shreveport, LA)

The Caddo Coroner’s Office identified 34-year-old Zwannica McBride and 5-year-old Ja’Siyah McBride as the victims who died after a crash Friday night in Shreveport’s South Lakeshore neighborhood.

As per the initial information, the solo-vehicle accident took place just after 10 p.m. in the 3500 block of Milam Street, close to the Villa De Lago Apartments. The coroner’s office confirmed that 34-year-old Zwannica McBride succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Ja’Siyah McBride, 5, was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The coroner’s office also mentioned that both were passengers in the vehicle. Autopsies have been ordered for both. The third person in the car was also transported to the hospital in serious condition. The identity of that victim has not been revealed at this time.

An investigation continues.
