On early Monday morning, a man lost his life while a woman received injuries following a rollover crash on I-96.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident was reported at around 2:50 a.m. on Interstate 96 near West Grand Boulevard. The early reports showed that a man driving a passenger vehicle crashed into another vehicle driven by a woman from behind as they were both going in I-96’s left lanes. The force of the collision pushed both vehicles onto the right shoulder.
The man’s vehicle got engulfed in flames. On arrival, emergency crews rushed both drivers to a hospital where the man was later declared dead. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The woman was treated for non-fatal injuries. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
