On Sunday morning, a man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in Redwood City.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on State Route 84, a couple of miles from State Route 35. The preliminary investigation indicated that the motorcycle rider was going westbound on State Route 84 on a 2015 Ducati motorcycle when he failed to maintain control of the bike. The motorcycle then swerved off the road and hit a tree.
Due to the impact, the man was thrown from the bike and the motorcycle got engulfed in flames. The victim, an unknown Asian male, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. One-way traffic control was in effect as of 1:12 p.m. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
