A man received injuries following a rear-end collision Friday morning in Grand Haven Township.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place on US-31 and Buchanan Street at around 5:30 a.m. The preliminary reports showed that the at fault vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a man was going southbound on US-31 near Buchanan at 70-75 mph. His car reportedly crashed into a 2001 Acura that had just pulled out southbound of the median crossing lane, after getting gas at the Admiral gas station.
The Malibu hit the back of the Acura, causing the Acura to spin out into the ditch. The driver of the Acura was transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The southbound lanes of US-31 were shut down for about an hour while crews worked at the scene. No other information is available.
The crash remains under investigation.
