Man died after a motorcycle crashed into a truck in Fresno (Fresno, CA)

A man lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in Fresno.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at around 4:45 PM on Blackstone Avenue and Herndon Avenue. Officers actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found a man in his early-to-mid 20s with major injuries. They discovered him next to his motorcycle in the middle of the street.

An officer began performing CPR on the motorcyclist, but the rider was later declared dead at the scene. The preliminary reports showed that the truck driver attempted to make a U-turn from northbound Blackstone. However, the driver misjudged how fast the motorcycle approached him in a southbound lane following which the rider slammed into the passenger side of the truck.

He was thrown from his bike due to the impact. The truck driver remained unharmed in the crash and cooperated with the investigators. Drugs and alcohol were not involved in the collision. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
