Man dead, woman injured after a hit-and-run collision in Palm Springs (Palm Springs, CA)

A man lost his life and a woman received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Sunday in Palm Springs.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run collision took place at about 1:20 a.m. on Ramon Road and Crossley Road. The preliminary reports showed that the motorcycle was heading west on Ramon Road when an eastbound pickup truck turned from Ramon Road onto Crossley and collided with the motorbike.

On arrival, responders found the male driver and female passenger of the motorcycle on the road. Both of them sustained major injuries and were rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center. The driver later died of his injuries. The passenger was listed in critical but stable condition. The truck left the scene and traveled west on Ramon Road. No other information is available.

The incident remains under active review.
