Man dead after his vehicle hits a light pole in north Houston (Houston, TX)

On Saturday, a man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in north Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at around 11:35 p.m. in the Northside neighborhood. The preliminary investigation revealed that the man was speeding when he failed to maintain control of his gray Chevrolet pickup truck.

The truck then struck a curb and hit a light pole in the 8500 block of Airline Drive. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
