Driver hospitalized after an 18-wheeler slams into St. George Fire Protection District Headquarters (Baton Rouge, LA)

On Wednesday, one person was injured after a semi-truck crashed into St. George Fire Protection District Headquarters.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the scene a little close to home shortly after 4 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation indicated that an 18-wheeler plowed into the St. George Fire Protection District’s Headquarters.

On arrival, Engine 673 found an 18 wheeler in front of headquarters in contact with the building. The building did not have any major damage. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
