Bicyclist killed after a hit-and-run accident in Glendale; driver sought (Glendale, AZ)

On Sunday, a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Glendale.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place just before 7 p.m. on Sunday on Northern Avenue, east of Reems Road. Authorities have sought public’s help in finding the driver who ran down and killed the bicyclist before fleeing the scene.

Investigators described the car as a blue 2017 or 2018 Ford Fusion. MCSO released two pictures of blue Ford Fusions to give people an idea what the hit-and-run car looks like. No information is available regarding the suspect.

According to authorities, the Fusion probably will have damage to the grill, the headlight assemblies, and the front passenger side. There might also be damage to the windshield on the passenger side. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
