Authorities identified 59-year-old Andre Jeanisse who died in a motorcycle crash on Country Club Road (Tucson, AZ)

Authorities identified 59-year-old Andre Jeanisse as the man who died at the hospital on Saturday after he was involved in a motorcycle collision that occurred on Wednesday, July 21.

According to initial information, officers from Operations Division South were sent in the 3400 block of South Country Club Road on reports of a serious-injury crash involving a motorcycle. Medics also responded to the scene and rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On August 7, detectives were alerted that the motorcyclist had succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 59-year-old Andre Jeanisse. After completing interviews, detectives found out that a white 2017 Nissan Altima was going southbound on Country Club Rd and the motorcyclist was heading south directly behind the Nissan.

When the Nissan started turning right, the driver suddenly turned back left onto the roadway where the motorcycle crashed into it. Officers from the DUI unit arrived at the scene and ascertained that the driver of the Nissan was not impaired at the time of the crash.

Detectives also observed that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and did not have a motorcycle endorsement associated with his driver’s license. According to a statement, detectives will submit their findings to Tucson City Court for any charges and/or citations that may be issued.

An investigation is continuing.
