Officials identified 24-year-old Jim Logan as the man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle Thursday night in Spring.
The fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at around 10:35 p.m. on I-45. The preliminary reports showed that Logan was trying to cross the freeway when a pickup truck struck him. Logan died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Authorities are trying to find out why the man was on the freeway. It is also unclear if impairment was a factor in the accident. No other details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
