Authorities identified 20-year-old James Hudson injured in motorcycle accident on Charleston Boulevard (Las Vegas, NV)

Authorities named a 20-year-old James Hudson of Las Vegas who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Charleston Boulevard on Monday.

The incident occurred at about 8:19 p.m. at the intersection of Prince Lane which involved a Hyundai hatchback. Officials said that Hudson was on a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle west on Charleston Boulevard at a high rate of speed when a 20-year-old Las Vegas woman driving a silver Hyundai Accent turned left in front of him.

On arrival, paramedics transported Hudson to a hospital while the Hyundai driver did not sustain any injuries. Police said the Hyundai driver did not show any signs of impairment.

An investigation is underway.
