On early Thursday afternoon, a road accident led to the closure of a part of Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.
As per the initial information, the motor vehicle accident was reported at about 1 p.m. on Airline at Highland Road. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The events that have led up to the crash also remain unclear at this time.
Traffic was closed at the intersection for drivers traveling into Baton Rouge as crews worked at the scene. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
