A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident on George Richey Road in Longview.
As per the initial information, the collision in which an SUV and a log truck were involved closed down westbound traffic on George Richey Road at the intersection of McCann Road. The preliminary reports showed that a woman in an SUV did not yield the right-of-way while traveling south on McCann Road. Just then, a log truck going westbound on George Richey smashed into the SUV.
On arrival, emergency responders rushed the driver of the SUV to the hospital with serious injuries. On the other hand, the driver of the log truck remained unharmed in the accident. Westbound lanes of George Richey Road are closed at this time. Eastbound has also been reduced to one lane. Authorities asked the motorist to avoid the area.
The crash remains under investigation.
