A vehicle hit and knocked down a utility pole in Morristown (Morristown, TN)

On Tuesday afternoon, a light pole was taken down after a vehicle crashed into it in Morristown.

As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on South Cumberland Avenue in Morristown. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Southbound lanes were shut down from Lincoln Avenue and Algonquin Drive up to the Sonic restaurant as crews worked at the scene.

The closure was expected to last till 8:30 p.m. Motorists were asked to use caution when driving through this area and watch for detour signs. No additional information has been provided by the officials.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
