A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Wenatchee; driver sought (Wenatchee, WA)

On Sunday, one person died after getting struck by a vehicle in Wenatchee.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at the intersection of State Route 28 and South Tyee Avenue. The early reports showed that a gray 2003 BMW on the freeway was approaching South Tyee Avenue when it hit a person in the eastbound lane. The vehicle left the scene after the collision. The pedestrian died of their injuries at the scene.

Around 50 minutes later, the officers found the stalled vehicle on Northwest Cascade Avenue south of State Route 2. Authorities are looking for the involved driver on a charge of felony hit and run. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under active review.
