A vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian at 5th & Keystone (Reno, NV)

On Wednesday night, a pedestrian was hospitalized with at least serious head injuries after being hit by a vehicle at Fifth Street and Keystone Avenue.

The extent of injuries sustained by the victim is still being evaluated. As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 7:08 p.m. The early reports showed that a car was eastbound on Fifth Street and made a turn north onto Keystone Avenue when it struck the pedestrian.

Several lanes of traffic are blocked at the scene. Investigators are holding the scene until there is an update from the hospital. Speed and impairment are not believed to be involved in the collision. Police were still trying to find out who was at fault.

The incident remains under active review.
