On Thursday morning, a woman lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Spokane.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place in the 6500 block of N. Wood Road at around 7 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that the woman was driving a 2003 Saturn Ion north on Wood Road when she went over the centerline of the roadway and crashed into the front of a 2005 Chevrolet truck. The woman succumbed to her injuries after the collision.
She was allegedly not buckled up at the time of the accident. The man driving the Chevrolet incurred only minor injuries. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. W. Jacobs Road and W. Coulee Hite Road were shut down for some time as crews worked at the scene. No further information has been provided by the authorities.
The incident remains under investigation.
