A two-vehicle accident left a 94-year-old woman dead in Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ)

A 94-year-old woman lost her life and two others were hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident Sunday in Sahuarita.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at about 1:30 p.m. at West Duval Mine Road and South La Cañada Drive. The preliminary reports showed that the elderly woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was ejected from it as a result of the collision.

CPR was performed on the victim, but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The drivers of both the vehicles were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries. Police said that impaired driving does not seem to have played a part in the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
