A train struck and injured a man in Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

On Sunday night, a man suffered injuries after being struck by a train in Phoenix.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area near 35th Avenue and Indian School Road at about 8 p.m. after getting reports of a pedestrian accident. The early reports showed that a train hit one person.

On arrival, emergency responders transported the victim to nearby hospital in serious condition. Authorities are trying to find out what led up to the crash. The identity of the victim has not been revealed at this time. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

The incident remains under review.
