On Saturday evening, one person died following a traffic accident in East Nashville.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of the 2900 block of Dickerson Pike at about 7 p.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The events that have led up to the deadly accident remain unknown at this time. No other information has been released by the officials.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
