On Monday, five people suffered injuries following a rollover crash on Highway 101.

As per the initial information, the motor vehicle accident took place at about 4:20 p.m. near the Gaviota Tunnel. The early reports revealed that one of the victims was ejected from the vehicle. Four people had critical injuries and one suffered moderate injuries.

On arrival, emergency crews transported four people to the hospital via ground ambulance whereas one person was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Reports further showed that two of the victims are adults, while three of them are children. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
