On Saturday night, one person was killed following a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 8.
As per the initial information, the fatal five-vehicle pile-up took place at about 7:00 p.m. on Interstate 8 near Severin Drive. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic when it drifted on the right shoulder embankment.
After that, the vehicle rolled back down towards traffic. One person died of their injuries as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
