On Friday morning, a multi-vehicle accident in northwest Las Vegas injured 4 people, including a 36-year-old woman who was left in critical condition.
As per the initial information, the multi-car wreck took place at North Jones Boulevard and North Rancho Drive at around 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 20. The preliminary reports showed that a 2020 Dodge Charger was heading southbound on Rancho approaching the intersection. Witnesses reported police that the driver went through a stoplight and collided with a 2016 Hyundai Elantra that was attempting to turn left onto Jones.
The impact of the crash redirected the Hyundai into a 2004 Lincoln Navigator that was propelled into the front of a Ford Focus. The driver of the Elantra, a 36-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident, police confirmed. Her passenger, a 65-year-old man, was left in serious condition. The driver in the Charger incurred minor injuries, and was not suspected of being impaired.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
