A multi-vehicle accident hospitalized 2 people on Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway (Santa Clarita, CA)

On Saturday afternoon, two people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 5.

As per the initial information, the five-vehicle pile-up took place at about 3:11 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway. The preliminary investigation showed that two people received injuries as a result of the collision.

On arrival, emergency crews took an adult patient with minimal injuries and a child with a nose bleed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials shut down the number one and two lanes of Interstate 5 as crews worked at the scene. No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
