A Mother Killed, 2 Children Injured In A Motor Vehicle Accident Near Cleveland (Cleveland, TX)

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a mother was killed, and two of her children were critically injured in a motor vehicle accident near Cleveland, Texas. 

The woman was identified as Donna Wright, 32, and the children were aged 2 and 7. Both children were airlifted to the Texas Medical Centre. 

The woman, driving westbound on FM 787, near the Cleveland Municipal Airport, lost control of her car when she tried to pass a big rig on a curve.

DPS said she hit the oncoming big rig and crashed into the first big rig she was trying to pass. Wight died at the scene following the injuries. 

The two-year-old boy was thrown from the car.

The drivers of the big rig were not injured. 

The DPS is investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash.
