On Tuesday morning, a female bicyclist suffered injuries after being struck by a garbage truck on West Sacramento and Nord Avenue.
As per the initial information, officers quickly responded to the crash scene at about 7:55 a.m. after getting reports a two-vehicle accident. The preliminary investigation suggested that a garbage truck struck a young bicyclist for reasons that are yet to be known.
On arrival, emergency crews rushed the injured victim to a hospital with major leg injuries. Authorities confirmed that the crash was unintentional. Investigators shut down West Sacramento and Nord as crews worked at the scene.
