A fiery crash injured 1 person in northwest Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

On Sunday night, one person was hurt after a single-vehicle crash in northwest Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 8600 block of Helena Avenue, close to Craig Road and El Capitan Way at about 9:30 p.m. after getting reports of a crash. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle smashed through a fence and landed on its side in a wash. The car reportedly caught fire after landing in the wash.

According to the officials, a relative called 911 after tracing their loved one using the Find My Friend app. On arrival, firefighters managed to get the driver out. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim is unknown but they did not have any burns.

The crash remains under investigation.
