On Thursday, a 31-year-old man, of Dearborn, lost his life when the car he was driving went over the center lane and collided with a semi-tractor at Schaefer and I-94.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at 3 p.m. on Schaefer. The preliminary investigation showed that the 31-year-old car driver drifted into oncoming traffic and crashed into the semi-tractor head-on.
The driver of the semi-tractor, a 41-year-old Texas resident, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It is unclear if the car had any passengers when the incident happened. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. The identities of the victims remain undisclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
