70-Year-Old Andrew Golden Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Pontiac (Pontiac, MI)

The Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating a pedestrian crash that injured an elderly man. Authorities said the man was trying to cross Woodward Avenue in Pontiac before he was hit by a car. 

The pedestrian was identified as Andrew Golden, 70, from Waterford township. The crash happened near Martin Luther King Boulevard at around 5:20 a.m. Golden in his hospital gown and green scrubs was hit by the car and was rushed to St.Joseph Mercy Oakland where he was pronounced dead.

Officials reported that he was not in a crosswalk while crossing the road.

The car driver was identified as a 69-year-old from Waterford Township.

No signs of impairment.
