On Sunday morning, 67-year-old David Lutz was killed after being fatally struck by a car while riding his bicycle in Cedar Park.

Responding officers found David Lutz with life-threatening injuries near Cypress Creek Road and El Salido Parkway at about 7:55 a.m. Lutz was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Cedar Park Police Department reported that the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene. A spokesperson did not comment on possible charges for the driver. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.

An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
