66-year-old Scott Laughlin killed after an auto-pedestrian collision in San Diego (San Diego, CA)

On Thursday, 66-Year-Old Scott Laughlin, from Long Beach, died after getting struck by a vehicle on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 10:15 p.m. near Wilshire Boulevard. The preliminary investigation indicated that one or multiple vehicles hit Laughlin for reasons that are yet to be known.

Laughlin suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. At this time, it is unknown if the vehicle or vehicles that hit the victim stayed at the scene or not after the collision. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
