The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a pedestrian crash in the Walmart parking lot, 501N. 9th St. that killed a woman.
The 65-year-old pedestrian was intentionally hit by a car driver on August 9 at 12:11 p.m.
She was transported to the Bronson Methodist Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Officials confirmed no personal relationship between the driver and the woman.
The 32-year-old driver from Kalamazoo was driving a maroon sedan car. He was arrested later, said the police.
Kalamazoo County recorded its 10th homicide in 2022 with this death.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
