According to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, a motorcycle accident occurred in Sunnyvale on Monday.
The crash happened near Wolfe road and Inverness Way at around 5:11 p.m.
The officials stated that the motorcyclist was struck by a car following the collision.
The motorcyclist was identified as 63-year-old Yong Hu. He suffered major injuries and was rushed to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
The Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
