63-Year-Old Man Died And A Woman Hospitalized After A Motor Vehicle Accident In San Clemente (San Clemente, CA)

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Saturday morning in San Clemente.

According to Sgt. Todd Hylton, the 63-year-old man suffered a medical emergency which caused the vehicle to roll over. The vehicle then hit a tree before coming to rest in the right westbound lane of Camino De Los Mares.

According to Lt. Renee De La Rosa, the crash happened at around 9:40 a.m. near the Ocean View Plaza shopping center when both the victims were travelling in a Maserati.

The man was declared dead at the scene and the 22-year-old woman passenger was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Hylton stated that alcohol or drugs were not the factors involved in the crash.
