61-Year-Old John Taylor III Dead After Crash in Metro Nashville Area (Nashville, TN)

Official reports state that a Rutherford County resident was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday at 7.15 AM. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of Hobson Pike and the man killed has been identified as  John Taylor III, 61. Taylor was driving a 2005 Honda Accord when he was struck by a 2013 Cadillac sedan.

The driver of the Cadillac, Kevin J. Carter, 37. was traveling south on Hobson Pike when, for reasons unknown, he failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway. 

His vehicle moved into oncoming traffic and collided with the Taylor’s Honda. Taylor died at the scene.

Carter was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. There was no evidence of alcohol/drug involvement at the scene of the fatal accident, and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
