55-year-old Russell Paul Williamson died in a bicycle crash on South Alvernon Way (Tucson, AZ)

On July 11, authorities confirmed the death of 55-year-old Russell Paul Williamson who received life-threatening injuries in South Alvernon Way crash on July 2.

As per the reports, the fatal bicycle crash happened on July 2 on South Alvernon Way at around 11 a.m. After receiving information of the crash, the authorities reached at the intersection of Alvernon Wy. and E. Juarez St.

According to the preliminary investigation, the crash happened when Williamson was riding his bicycle southbound on Alvernon and made a left turn onto eastbound Jaurez. At that point of time, a white 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck travelling northbound hit Williamson’s bicycle.

Police stated that Williamson sustained major injuries and was transported to Banner University Medical Center. Police confirmed that he succumbed to injuries on July 11.
