Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that claimed a life near the intersection of Contra Loma Boulevard and Buchanan road around 11:05 p.m.
The victim was identified as a 50-year-old who succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s name.
According to the officials, the woman was crossing the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle heading south on Contra Loma. The driver fled the scene after the collision.
