According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Navasota. The crash happened north on CR 304.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a 50-year-old Urania Sweet were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the unknown vehicle hydroplaned and hit a utility pole. Sweet then put the car in reverse, and as she backed up she put her arm out the window. Her arm came into contact with an electric line, and she was electrocuted.
Sweet suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
